Hi girls, I am new here, so I'll first introduce myself, I am 32, and I have a 3 year old son, and I am pregnant again, 10 weeks. My concern is, that I have a vaginal discharge, which is light brown (or mixed yellow/pink/brown sort of - don't even know how to describe the colour properly), it's kind of the same amount as I have been experiencing through the pregnancy, but only it became darker in a few days or so. When I saw it yesterday, I got really worried, and went to the hospital, they did some blood tests, and urine samples, etc, but it doesn't show that there is a sign of infection, however, I still feel very nausious and fatique, and urine showed that I am still pregnant, but at my doctors today they couldn't find baby's heart rate, so they organized an ultrasound for monday, I can't wait that long, I will be going crazy. If my symptoms sound like it may be missed abortion, could anyone tell me, if the discharge supposed to be very frequent in that case, or every 3-4 hours is still a sign of it anyway, because I don't notice it every minute, it only appears in so many hours. I don't feel any pain, or temperature, I just feel very tired and fatique last few days, and very nausious, can't eat anything at all, not even drink, I force myself to drink glass of water. Please help, moms, I won't sleep well. Thanks in advance. L. |

If it helps I bled through most of my pregnancy and very much what you have described...I had about 4 episodes of bleeding throughout. I know that I was terrified the first few times but the doctors had no explanation for it and they could even see where I was bleeding from during one of the US. There was nothing wrong with my baby and he was fine....I hope that you are able to rest and that it is nothing as mine was. Best of luck and welcome to the forum ps Im sure that I was nauseaus and fatigued for most of my pregnancy so that sounds normal to me lol! Let us know how you go. |

Thanks guys, It really does make a little difference at least to talk to someone and hear some reassurance. But, it still is in my mind, and I guess it will stay there until Monday.>( Especially knowing the fact that they couldn't detect the heart beat. Anyways, hopefully it's ok, fingers crossed. |

10 weeks might still be a bit early - like, it is possible, but I think it's too early to always hear it IYKWIM?

That's what the dr said as well, apparently sometimes it's not detectable until 12 wks. But with my first baby, they could hear it from 8 wks, and they always found it straight away. Funny too, with my first pregnancy I bled for few days, they said it was implantation bleeding, and I had cramping too, but other than that, everything was fine afterwards. ...And with this one it seemed like everything was going smoothly. I know every pregnancy is different, hopes for the best. |

I bled for all three of my pregnancies. I only miscarried for the first when I didn't have bed rest. My bleeding sounds very similar to yours for all three. I would suggest you have complete bed rest until you have the ultrasound. Was the ultrasound an internal? If not this may be why they couldn't pick up the heartbeat. Have you had your HCG checked through a blood test? If you have then you can have another blood test on Monday and get them to check the result against the first test. The HCG should have risen significantly if all is well. This is a more accurate way to determine if the pregnancy is viable. When I bled for the third time this is the method I used to reassure myself. I found the ultrasound frustrating like you are finding. I hope all is well for you. I will be thinking of you all weekend.
