Default Where has the Full Moon Festival gone?

I put this here because I couldn't think where else to put it

Does anyone know what is happening with the Full Moon Festival that used to be held at Sandgate every month? I know the park there on the beach is being worked on, but is the festival being held elsewhere, and will it be returning to Sandgate?

sadly it is gone for good

the organisers stated many reasons, mainly they felt its time was over.....other issues were the park reconstruction, people being disrespectful and bringing drugs and alchool, noise complaint issues and insurance.....

i was so sad to read that - would have loved to have gone one last time had i known

Thought I was still in Thailand for a moment. Didn't realise they have Full Moon parties here?

There has been a gathering for many years in brissie on every full moon called Moonfest - it was a firetwirling, drumming circle, fairy-ring dancing hippy run event. It was drug and alcohol free so was very family friendly, and was just a beautiful friendly place. I didnt go that often as it was held on the other side of the city, but it was always wonderful when i did go.....

I am pretty sure there will be a Winter Solstice Festival at Northey St Markets though...
