Moving to Raymond Terrace

Hi

I am reasonably new to NSW so don't know which section (mid coast, north coast??) Raymond Terrace is but wanted to know if there are many AP parents in that area.

I am homeschooling my boys (8yo, almost 5yo and almost 2yo) and am looking to do family daycare.

We move from Dorrigo in late February.

Hi there,

I'm in Newcastle and use to live in Raymond Terrace. When I lived there, it wasn't really the place that AP parents lived iykwim?????

There are few cloth nappy families in Newcastle we even have our own website (PM me for more details), we try to meet up reguarly with and without children.

Great!! Oh well, just have to hope that there are at least some homeschoolers who don't use ACE because I am a relaxed Charlotte Mason, Montessori, Classical Education type homeschooler. (Could I be any more eclectic?

)

Is it far from Raymond Terrace to Newcastle?

I do not know NSW at all so this a new experience for me.

You said you don't know NSW all that well so I take it you've not been there long? I'm not near Raymond Terrace, but good luck with your move

I'm in Port Macquarie... which is about half way between Dorrigo and Raymond Terrace!!

There are not that many NP people in this area for some reason. I think Newcastle might be your closest connection and that is about a half hour away i think.

I hope you meet some like minded people in your area but i don't think there are any on the forum.

Yep like Michelle, said RT is about 20mins 1/2 hour away from Newcastle.

hi I just joined this forum and saw your post. I am in Nelson Bay which is in the Port Stephens area, (the Terrace is in Port Stephen Shire, that's what we call Raymond Terrace, just the Terrace) I am about 30 mins from there.

I am new to parenting myself as my little girl is just 8 mos old. I don't know of any AP groups in the area. I am the only AP person I know.
