Anyone on Sydney's Northern Beaches?

Hi Everyone, just wondering if any of you live on the Northern Beaches. I'm in Harbord and have a 11-month old son Ben. Would love to meet up with some like-minded people as they seem to be few and far between!

I live in Frenchs Forest which is kinda northern beaches. There doesn't seem to be many from this area on this forum for some reason.

Hi Angela & esp. I live in Seaforth. You are right that there doesn't seem to be many on the northern beaches. I know that there used to be a natural parenting playgroup that met at Collaroy weekly. I found them in Sydney's Child about 4 years ago. I went once but ending up having to work on the day that they met so couldn't go again. It was disappointing because it was do great to finally meet like-minded people. I think that I have a Sydney's Child around here somewhere so I will try and see if they are still advertising.

Esp - do you know anything about this playgroup?

I just found them in Sydney's Child. It's called Sydney Attachment Parenting Playgroups - Northern Beaches meets on Thursdays enquires: Sam - 9977-4902 or Mel 9970-5509.

If this playgroup doesn't suite you then I would love to meet up for a chat.

Hi Angela,

I'm northern beaches and have gone to the SAP meet ups in the past - there hasn't been one for a while but a few of us are looking to give it a bit of a kick start in the next few weeks (probably next wednesday). If you join the SAP list you'll find the info there.

There is also a playgroup at Kinma in Terrey Hills every monday during term time. Not strictly an AP playgroup but lots of AP mums there. It is from 9.30 - 11.30am, and visits are on a casual basis $3. Everyone is welcome. Check out http://www.kinma.nsw.edu.au for more info and location, or pm me. I'd be happy to give you more info.

Krista - I am on your due in summer group too and I go to the kinma playgroup on the monday (ok not this term so far but I will!!). I haven't been to the SAP meet up but I have met a bunch of the mums from that list who are all lovely (and some do the kinma thing too).
I would love to meet up any other time - feel free to PM me.

Have we lost our original poster - Angela? where are you?

hello again! esp, sorry for my tardiness in replying - a teething baby and a sick old cat who are jealous of each other getting attention, has made for not much time on the computer lately!

I didn't know about the SAP group or kinma group, I would love to meet up with the SAP group and will phone them tomorrow to get on their contact list. Also interested in the kinma playgroup but it clashes with a mums and bubs yoga class I do which Ben loves, so I might give it a miss for the moment.

Would also be interested to meet up with you girls, as I think you all mentioned you'd like to meet each other, what do you think?

I can't make it on a Wednesday because that's a work day for me. Monday is good so Kinma seems like a good idea. Esp, are there any 5 year old boisterous boys there???

There are usually a few 4 year olds around. Boisterous is fine! Lots of space to run around and expend energy. We have all ages, from newborns to preschoolers.
