Shock New to this!

Hello to the Newcastle people

Thought I would introduce myself to all of you. My name is Tina and I would love to catch up with some like-minded people.

I live in Mayfield, but at the moment I am also spending some time in Muswellbrook as my husband has some work commitments there.

I have a 5 month old son, Cale. I do everything that the mother's group nurses tell you not to do...co-sleep, nurse to sleep etc. I have to admit that I am not using cloth nappies...but if anyone wants to convert me over...I am open-minded about it

I would love to get to know you all, so I will keep on watching the posts. Hope I am not being to intrusive

Herbgirl, thanks for your help with getting me up and running on the forums

I too am craving some face to face contact with like minded people. my little guys are now 2.5 and 5 yrs old.
You're not intrusive at all. Just post away.
I'm having a get together on Thursday morning for my Total Learning catalogue launch so that might be a chance for people to get together too. Email me on annemccrea@optusnet.com.au if you are interested and I'll give you more details

Thanks for your welcomes.

Some of you might be pleased to hear that I have started researching the use of cloth nappies instead of disposable ones. Wow it is a whole new world out there! Where does one start? Anyway, I will keep on it...but I am getting the impression that I should just buy a couple of different types and see which ones I like the best

yep, i reckon that is a good idea cos it depends on your baby's shape and size as to the best ones for you.

This site has heaps of good info too:
http://www.allaboutnappies.com/index.php

And if you can sew you can always make some custom made ones......

Check out Melissah's nappies - I use them and everyone has probably heard me rave about them by now - they're just like a disposable, but they're cloth - lol. Made from top quality fleece and hemp liners, and they look so yummy you might want to eat your bub - lol.

Are you able to make the Clarence Town meet up?

I have been away for the last 4 days...so sorry about the delay reply

I did have a look at the website with Melissa's nappies on them and thought that they sounded great. Do they really contain the poo?

I would love to make it to the met up at Clarence Town...so I will keep my eyes open for news of it. I would also love to see the cloth nappies in action
