Default Newcastle KU Preschools

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has used the KU preschools in Newy? I think I remember someone in the group saying they are good Lizlea??? I would be thinking of the one in Kotara. Any feedback anybody has would be great. Or if you can recommend any others that are good.

Cheers,

well I may be biased because I have worked for KU since 1992! But they are mostly excellent centres - the head office support is great especially in the area of special needs. Some of the preschools take children from 2 years and some from 3 years and there are also a number of long day care centres so it really depends what you are looking for. The one at Adamstown (Bel-Air preschool) is great but so is Merewether, Mayfield, Wickham.... really depends what you are looking for and where you live. If you can give me more details I can give you an idea.

I agree Leah, they are great. They also attract very good staff and are wonderful centres.

Thanks guys!! I live in Cardiff so the Kotara one is closest. I am mainly looking at pre-school, not day care. Eliza will be 3 next June and just want to get on the list. I spoke to Debbie there and she said to come over and have a look.

Eliza is not used to being left anywhere yet so inbetween then and now we are woking on that a bit. I have just got one morning a week with Family Day Care by a lady that 2 of my friends have used for their kids over the past 10 years so I am hoping she goes well there. I was not comfortable leaving her with a complete stranger but I have met this lady before and I also trust my friends in this regard.

What are the waiting lists for pre-schools like in Newcastle?

We are moving back next year and Seb will also be 3 in June so I am thinking I may need to get onto a list soon???
