Default Basket Weaving Workshop

OK, haven't heard from anyone for a while, and I need to know how many are coming on the 25th so I can get the materials sorted. In case you missd the update in the other thread, it's Linda's 30th on the 24th, so we ought to have a celebration. Who can bring what? I think Maritsa is bringing a desserty type thing and a damper dippy thing. kwim?

I got some great books from the library about weaving. I'm gonna give it a go myself before the day so I can see if it's easy enough. Between us all we should be able to work something out. I'm gonna get some willow from down at the river on Saturday (though Maritsa swears it's too much work for a girl - pmsl at the girl who can't start a lawn mower - yeah I'm talking about YOU Spritza ) and will try to get some rushes as well.

So...how much do I need?

I'll be there I have asked Brad to bring some vines home but he keeps forgetting - hopefully today! I asked him to get a few different thicknesses so hopefully we will be able to use them - he said the bits could be around a metre or so long. Is that long enough? The bits that are longer are thicker so may not be able to be weaved. Anyway, I'll see what he brings home...

I will make some savory muffins and bring them for the little celebration

Hey it is Cale's 1st birthday the day after...26th...so there is double reason to celebrate.
I will be there too. I will bring some food too. Maybe some soup or a pasta so that Linda doesn't have to cook us her yummy soup!

Sounds like a great day. I'm working but I'm trying to work out if I can see one of my clients up that way before or after and I can take an early lunch break and catch up with you guys at least.
Happy Birthday to Cale if I don't get there.

OMG do you believe it!!!!
I had a dental crisis yesterday...an abscess...and had to get an emergency dentist in to fix the blooody tooth...anyway...I have to go back to the dentist this week...and guess what was the only day that I could get in???
YEp, thursday...11.40am...right in the middle of our get together ..argh!!!!! So much to my disappointment....it looks like I will not be getting up there... :(
If by some miracle I can change the date, then I will...also if I can't get someone to look after Cale on thurs ... then I wont be able to go to the dentist and will be able to come up...but god damn I need that tooth fixed!
I will keep you all posted on my dilemna

Tina I am cringing at the thought of emergency dental work - hope you are OK. I had half a tooth break off while I was pregnant and I hate dentists so much that I have still been too chicken to make another appt to get it properly fixed...

Hope you can come on thursday - if not happy tooth vibes going your way...

And if you can change the appt, I don't mind looking after Cale for a few hours if you can't find anyone - just let me know

Ouch Tina, sounds very painful, I hope it gets fixed soon for you.
I need root canal so I can chew food on my left side again and I've been putting it off for 12 months because I hate dental work but I guess having an abcess is more painful. Healing vibes to you
