It was updated on the news last night that she did not find out that she was pregnant until she got there and that as soon as she did, she was flown out. She appeared fine, but had a miscariage on the plane.

Who to believe?

i am going to be totally insensitive and say that if she was that early in pregnancy than carrying around a backpack that she has previously carried without problems would not have harmed her.

The miscarriage in the plane on the way home, while heartbreaking, would have happened if she was at home or in Afganistan.

It's a very sad ending and must be heartbreaking for her, but i can't see that being in Afganistan had any effect on the baby. Taking a week to organise a replacement for her job sounds fair to me?!?!? Especially when in different circumstances we would be narking on about how a women can perform her job when pregnant just as well as a non-pregnant women.
