Default New teeth

How do your kids deal with losing teeth?

My DD1 is so funny, she lost her first two teeth on the bottom literally on her 5th birthday and a week later. Then last week she lost the next two around those in 4 days and now her two top ones are really wobbly.

But the funny thing to watch is her emotional rollercoaster on whether she wants to lose them or not. She said today.."Mum I don't want to lose my teeth, i like my teeth and I don't want it to hurt" and then 10 min later I found her hunkered over in the hallway wiggling it like mad saying she wants it to come out. I think the problem is that she is afraid of it bleeding/hurting etc and then she remembers the toothfairy...money...and it overrides it

Of course then I keep mucking up the tooth fairy thing and forgetting to take the tooth when leave the money. She knows it's me but plays along with it. My mum never did the toothfairy thing so I'm not used to it.

I find the whole thing rather amusing.

Wow, they start losing teeth around five years old? I better get myself prepared! My daughter is 4 and has been telling us some of her teeth are wobbly, but I don't think they are - probably just listening to the older girls talk at school.

Yes you had better start stockpiling $2 coins. I don't know what the going rate is...probably $5 for some, but I think a nice shiny $2 is fine.

Emd they could be wobbly already. DD's top ones have been mildly wobbly for about 6 months now. It can take some time.
