Default Smashed potato and spoiled eggs.

....are what my almost 6 year old calls mashed spud and boiled eggs. It's so funny hearing what kids call some things, not to be funny but because they mis heard and then it becomes a family word.

DD almost 2 years old is like the little brother on Peppa pig who says "Dine-saur" for everything, she calls everything "baby".

What are your family's special words?

Em

I thought this would be a recipe thread! The local cafe has "smashed potatoes" on their menu - roast potatoes roughly mashed with skins on. Yum.

Jools calls all balloons "air balloons" (as in "hot air balloons"). It's so sweet. "Look mummy, a AIR BALLOON!"
Sophia likes to do her paperwork. Anything involving writing on paper is "paperwork" and it's "very important". Just like mummy doing her tax etc

On the weekend we took dd to buy her big-girl bed... and she got to ride on an "essa-layta" (aka escalator).

And she LOVES to have "bedge-e-myte" on her toast!!!

Very cute!

My three year old has always called bananas, al-la-las. Now we all do!

Doot-da-doo is a chicken and he has always said hot meaning a drink of water. I think this one came from me explaining that my tea was hot!
