Surely niccola is too young to get pimples!!
She has had 2 so far and they don't look like normal pimples. They are more like tiny boils. they have a crater in the middle.
but now a third one is starting.
she's only 5!!!
anyone have any ideas?

Don't squeeze them, squeezing will cause cell damage and inhibit proper healing. Pimples are often a hormonal thing. Has she been doing anything particularly different? Eating differently? Has she been stressed?
Maybe something has clogged the skin... has she been playing with anything that could be on her hands which she might then rub into her face?
Is she sick... any other symptoms?
Is she worried about them? Maybe if you distract her from them she might not touch them too much. Rubbing at them and touching them could make it worse (natural oils and whatever else she's touched could irritate it).
I had skin problems when I was a kid and after doing the rounds of horrible dermatologits who made the problem worse mum took me to a Naturopath - all better.
If they are pussy you could try putting dilute teatree oil on to dry them and maybe try putting lavander essential oil on a cotton bud and dabbing it on to help healing...
I'm sure there are probably others here who are more clued in on this than me.
Good luck Bronnie

lol, she doesn't touch them. its me that has itchy fingers, but i respect her NO!
she has been sick, but i don't know if the first one happened before she got sick or not. or it may have been during her illness. but i'm not sure. could it be the virus coming out?
she's a preschooler. she could have had any of a hundred things clogging her skin. but even tho its pusy looking, it doesn't give that impression of trapped pores. they started as pink spots, similar to a small mossie bite.
i did offer to take the top off and put boobie juice on it to help it heal but she wouldn't let me.
if she gets another i might try essential oils. the one there is just under her eye, so i'd be a bit wary of putting anything on it, in case it got into her eye. youchie
but thanks for trying alice. and thanks for not much julia![]()
i would go the lavender oil, you can use it un-diluted too. Plenty of water for her to drink too.

Either echinacea (as it is a great antiseptic lotion) or maybe chamomile blue would be milder on her young skin..
Pimples are a hastle.. I use the two things that I mentioned above here at home.. especially the echinacea liquid for the big ones.
Coming out of lurkdom to ask, how long do they last for? Have you seen one disappear?
I just had a thought, that it sounds similar to Molluscum Contagiousm that my kids have both had. The discription of them, like pimples but with a crater, looking like a small boil, sounds a bit like Molluscum.

Just a thought, something you can rule out. It is benign, and harmless, but takes a while to go away.
Back to lurkdom LOL...

Have they cleared up, Bronnie? I was thinking along the lines of the body clearing out the leftover virus from her illness as well.

Bronnie, sounds like what we went through with our daughter. Livia used to get a boil like pimple that was very painful for her, they were about the size of a 10c piece. When they were at their peak she would have about 5 usually on her legs, and when ready to pop all you had to do was lightly touch the skin either side of the boil and it would shoot out - there was so much presure in there. For just under a year we went to several doctors who recommended antibotics each time, which I wasn't keen on but anything to stop the pain she was in. No one could ever tell me what they were or even what the cause was. She has'nt had them for about a year now. Maybe like with livia they will just go away.
