Default I have a swollen cheek?

Thanks so much in advance if anybody can help...

I attempted to go to a doctor, but all I got was a lecture on how I should have a doctor (evn though I explained we never get sick enough to warrant going to one), and a prescription for antibiotics. The woman didn't even look at my problem before her diagnosis!

During the night on Saturday night I developed a single swollen cheek. It is on my right hand side only. It is hard as a rock. It doesn't hurt and I have no other symptoms.

It is a bit embarrasing, but more than anything. It is huge, and deforms my appearance. I just want to know what it is so I don't worry about it.

I don't have time to go to doctor after doctor to find a decent one, and I have to be at work for the next 2 days straight, followed by a commitment on the next day and another day at work the day after. So no time really.

Has anybody had this before, and/or does anybody know any natural ways to reduce unknown caused swelling?

Any help at all is much appreciated!

Linda.

I don't have a doctor! How rude of that lady. Maybe some anti hystamines? I wonder if you were bitten by an ant or something that didn't hurt? Ice? No great ideas here sorry!

Maybe its a blocked glad? although i would think you would have pain. Maybe some hot packs and massage to see if you can get it moving? If its that big maybe you should see someone else

Is it a dental issue? Could be an abcess, I know they can present in odd ways sometimes. I would go see another doc, maybe someone here could suggest a good one, if you gave us the general area you live in. I could suggest a few if you were down here. Oh, just looked again, you're in Brighton SA. Anyone? It is hard finding a doc from scratch if you don't already have one.

Hope it just goes away on it's own though..

Em
