Naturopath or Homeopath?

DS i 2 and has been quite sick over the last few months - nothing too dramatic, lots of colds, lots of snot, teething the last lot of teeth, and double ear infections - he's been on 3 lots of antibiotics as with new sister I didn't have much time to look into it I just wanted him well again. Then without having been anywhere, no daycare and no ther kids around much - he got school sores - so more antibiotics.

I want to go and see someone to help me help him with his immunity.

Any ideas?

Also I thought kids skin healed up quickly when they got bumps and bruises - DS's skin does not seem to heal quickly at all, he seems to get scars and marks.

I have never been to a naturopath or homeopath, but I have been to an osteopath, and they were really helpful with DD. I have heard that cranio-sacral osteopathy is supposed to be great for kids chronic ear infections.

I found probably the best thing about alternative health practioners is that they spend much more time with you than the GP would. They pick up on things that other health professionals wouldn't, because they ask and they listen. I would say if someone around you knows a good naturopath/osteopath etc with lots of experience in treating children, and you trust their qualifications, then go, because at the very least it can't hurt.

Either a naturopath, homeopath or osteo could probably help. Do you have any friends who can recommend a good one in your area?

I'd say see all.. a naturopath will give you nutritional advice (amoung other things) a homeopath will give you homeopathic medicine and an osteo will help put the body back in balance- and good for ear infections as they can get the fluid moving out of the ear.. that's my understanding anyway.

How much dairy does your little one have.. I have read that dairy can be (not always) connected to ear infections..

Different people respond differently to different modalities, but it sounds like a constitutional remedy from a homoeopath might help.
