Hon, it could be just a virus or gastro, but it couldnt hurt to get checked. Severe bowel cramping can sometimes trigger contractions. More than that concern, I would be worried about getting dehydrated. Look, it isnt normal, so get it checked out. It may not have any concerns to your pregnancy, but you sound like you are not well.

And MW's deal with pregnant women daily - all who have the same worries - so nothing to be embarrassed about! In fact, having some fears allayed may help you feel less stressed about the pregnancy & in turn, your physical symptoms may abate more quickly It does sound non-pregnancy related, but better just to get checked now before you feel any crappier!

As MP said, keep up the fluids - very important!

Yep, definitely tell the mw what's going on. She can give you advice on how to resolve it taking into account the baby on board.

You don't need to be feeling silly by telling the midwife, you are not well, it doesn't matter whether it is pregnancy related or not. Being unwell can have an effect on your pregnancy (dehydration etc) so it is all interwined at the end of the day. Please talk to your midwife or your local GP, and try to rest and keep up your fluids. Would love you to check back in and let us know how you are feeling! Big hugs xxxxxx

Sounds like gastro to me as well, best to get checked I was embarressed to ask my MW some questions when I was preg the 1st time too, but about half way in I'd take a list of questions to every appointment, they are trained to deal with any worries you have, if you don't want to see your MW perhaps you have a GP you can go to? As the PP's have said keep up the fluids.
Hope you feel better soon and please keep us posted
