Exclamation Paediatric/childrens' dentist

My DS, broke 4 of his front teeth last year. They are now black (mostly) and look awful. He is a happy, outgoing boy and smiles a lot everyday. I am getting sick of the looks and the stupid comments, because people think that I must give him lollies and fizzy drink. (which I don't). Generally, I don't care what people think, but when they make stupid comments in front of him, then I get pissed off. (do people think that kids have no ears)?

I took DS to a dentist last year and they refused to do anything. However, I am also aware that the now rotting teeth he has, will spread to his secondary teeth if nothing is done.

Either, the teeth need to be pulled now (because it's been left for so long) or they might be able to be saved.

I know that private dentists aren't cheap, but eventually, socially, it will be a problem for DS.

As I don't have a Melbourne phone book and yellow pages online is no help (neither was google) I am hoping that someone here can help. I am willing to travel to Melbourne suburbs (there are no kids dentists here).

More bits of his teeth just keep falling off every now and then and they are soooo black. yuk!

Have a look at this website:

http://www.dhsv.org.au/default.asp

It also has links to private dentists (I think!?) I hope this helps - let us know how you go!!
