Default Strange things...

Hello

I am new to the forum but I have a question for anyone else who has experienced this -

My little one is almost 8 months old and she sometimes does this thing where she looks up and puts her head back as if she is in some sort of trance! Then she just snaps out of it and is back to normal after doing it for about 10-20 seconds... it looks like she is about to sneaze but she doesn't - at first I thought it was a snease that she didn't follow through on but if you talk to her while she is doing it she doesn't respond.

Cheers

Lhip

Hi and to the forums

I would get it checked out - could be epilepsy.

That's what i was thinking but i didn't want to say it..I have a friend who started out doing that at a young age, spacing out and it was epilepsy. But it could just as easily be something she's discovered that amuses her.... Talk to your HP to be safe.

Good to have you here..!

Yeah, sounds like it might be worth getting your LO checked for absent seizures.

hi and welcome to Np. Your avitar picture is adorable!! I am assuming thats your little one!! so sweet!

I would definately be telling your gp or pead. it does sound to me like it could be some form of epilepsy. Hope things go well.

Raising a child with disabilities is not what anyone expects, but it has become our NORMAL life. We would never pass up an opportunity to make things easier for our child, but our loving little boy, who amazes us everyday, is precious just the way he is.
