Default what do you know about sukin?

im fairly new to using organic/natural products and i came across the sukin products yesterday they seem good to me but im also quite clueless (though i know they are SLS free).
i hope they are as good as they sound cause they smell great, are easy to get and are reasonably priced.

thanks.

I have their body lotion and deoderant at the moment and it looks good to me, there are a couple of ingredients I dont know what they are, but none of the usual ingredients I know to be dangerous.

They appear to be OK. The products I've used have left me really red & irritated, though.

I've just started using their cream cleanser and moisturiser. It's been really nice so far, and they smell great!

That's interesting Nyree, since I stopped using Natural Instinct (Grrrrr) and started using Sukin DS3'sskin seems to have been less inflamed and red. Will have to keep an eye on things.

I have super sensitive skin though - so probably fine for most people

Sukin use a preservative that is plant derived but has one of those long names you cant pronounce. However, get the label and Google that chemical if in doubt!
I moved away from that brand onto a certified organic range that has NO synthetic chemicals at all. And its much better value, much better quality.

Jannette, what brand do you use now?
I moved onto Sukin when my healthfood shop started stocking it instead of Natural Instincts.
I've found it ok, but would like to try something different.

Hello

This is my first thread and have loved reading all your beautiful caring threads. I wish I had of known of a site like this when I was in the hard stage of 2 small ones for all that gorgeous support and words of encouragement.

Just to sort of introduce myself I'll tell you a little bit about my family. I have a five year old boy and a three year old girl and I am extremely vigilant with organic and natural, chemical free, pesticide free, flouride free, now after my son has Asbergers we are vaccination free. I am right into naturopathy, homeopathy and chiropractic/kineaseology. The benefits of our Gluten free, dairy free and artificial preservatives and colour free diet has been life changing for my whole family. becuase my kids have been having this diet from very young age they embrace it and take herbs that most people would find hard to stomach with ease and infact they love them. I have always been an incredibly nutritionally aware and my mother taught me all about making the connection between what you eat and the way you live is what you will end up to be so I feel blessed I had that knowledge drummed into me young.

But what I really just wanted was to let you know about Sukin. I use the shampoo and conditioner but have always used Alchemy and after using the sukin range of hair care I will probably swap back to Alchemy when this lot has finished as it is a far superior quality and of similar price. I love the conditioner in the Alchemy range. The sukin shampoo is quite nice but not as moisturising as Alchemy - a little drying I think and the conditioner isn't nearly as penetrating as Alchemy and much more naturally derived.

xx
