Default Aquaponics - anyone tried this?

Hi everyone

First it was a worm farm and veggie patch, then we got chickens and now DH is building an aquaponics set up.

All we need is a cow and we're good to go

Has anyone tried aquaponics?
Any tips?
What fish would you recommend?

DH has a few books and is going on a short uni course to get some basic skills. He's looking to invest about $2000 so I hope it works out!

Cheers

Oooh, I want to give it a go, but I kill all my veggies so well that I've put it off... Have you looked at the Backyard Aquaponics forum and site yet? Ooodles of info!

Enjoy!

Best of luck!
