this is an amazing historical house in Brisbane that will be bulldozed to make way for a road!! 2 huge fig trees will also be destroyed.

this house is an icon and I would hate to see it go.....

Dh and I used to live next door to the 'fairy house' when we were students (under the art shop in the left of the picture). Can't say I'm particularly attached to that house - always thought it was a bit of a rundown eyesore actually - but I didn't know all that much about its origins. It was a bit of a mecca for trippers and dopeheads as I recall. Will sign the petition just because of the Cloudland connection. Brisbane needs all it's unique and historical buildings preserved and my own opinion of one house doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

How do you sign the e-petition? I couldn't get past the Current E-Petition page and clicking Yes did nothing.

clicking yes is how i got it to work??? thats odd.....

interesting to hear your thoughts on it.....im reading on that website that as long as it wont be demolished, plans are underway to restore it to its former glory.....

i always looked at it and thought it was amazing, it always had my imagination going....

Slap me one for hypocrisy here for how would I know who lived there? I never knew the neighbours. Can I call them artists and musicians instead?
