Just wondering if any of my fellow NP mummas have bought or use safe drinking bottles for their kids (or for your own use!) Which brands are better? The 2 I have been looking at are the Foogoo Stainless Steel Sippy Cups or the SIGG Sippy cups. You can read about and purchase both on Natureschild http://www.natureschild.com.au/shopp..._bottles/111/1 What I want to know is what is better for a 7 month old? The Foogoo Sippy I think looks more age appropriate for a 7 month old, but it does say you can get a handle for the SIGG - but there is no picture for me to see if it looks ok. Has anyone bought one? The Foogoo is significantly cheaper too! I would also like to buy one for my 3 year old, so would the SIGG be better for that age group? And reading about them both - I assume they are both as safe as one another? Thanking you in advance for your recommendations. |

I'd go the foogoo. Stainless steel is the next best thing to glass for storing food/drinks. I still wonder about the lining in the Sigg bottles. Even though they claim it's safe, it's still essentially a plastic. |

I am not sure about the Sigg bottles either. I got Klean Kanteens from greenfeet dot com (they will export here).

Well I'm married to a metallurgist and he agrees on the Klean Kanteen thing. All metals are definitely not the same and I like the research and testing done by Klean Kanteen.

We're using Klean Kanteen's at the moment... so far, so good. The only thing I find annoying about them is that there is no travel cover for the toddler spout. I haven't been able to track down the Foogo's here yet, but we want to get a couple of them too (some friends of mine have them and love them). |
