Default Toxic toys

I just came across this site that might be useful to those of you worried about toxins & heavy metals in kids toys.

www.healthytoys.org

Lists the best & worst of the toys they've tested, allows you to search for a particular toy, or request testing if it's not already on the list.

Thanks for this Ny. Have you found toys that you own on the site? I can't seem to find any of ours (not that I've done a search through every toy in this household....but the 4 I've looked for came up with no matches?) I'm guessing it's American??

I had a quick look after posting the link. It is very American, but there were some well-known brands there (Fisher Price, etc). It says they've tested 3000 toys so far, but obviously there are far more toys on the market.

I could vomit. There are tea sets in the top ten lead list. If there is a toy that kids of all ages put in their mouths, it's tea sets.

I have requested that Ikea toys get tested as we have a few of theirs.
