Thanks! I wrote a similar reminder in a post just a couple of days ago. I had some reservations about the method and single minded purpose of the project, but overall it is a great idea. Hopefully there are millions more planning to participate than just the ones signed up on the Earth Hour site. A surprisingly large number of businesses are taking part.

I even heard NASA is planning to watch with their satellites to see how apparent the darkening of major metropolitan areas is!

We didn't register on any websites, but we did participate. After a busy day working at an expo, it was nice to "switch off" for a while tonight.

Man Earth Hour ROCKED in this house, I reckon we will make it a weekly thing. I wasn't even that bothered by it but the boys said 'aww we better do it, or Kel will have a whinge!'

We cracked out the guitar, and the bongos and had a wicked sing/dance-along. We didn't even realise the time until 10:30.

Argh! We forgot about it!

So we're doing it tonight instead - just for our family.

We had friends over, and played pictionary by candle light, we too lost track of time..and then descided we may as continue by candle light!
