I buy stuff from Only Oz groceries, based in Brisbane. I like them because they deliver to my door, which is especially useful when buying bulk. They have lots of organic and eco-friendly stuff, gluten free, vegetarian etc and their delivery costs within Brisbane are super cheap.

Hi Tamara I'm really new to this forum... in fact this is my first post! The best one that I have found (actually my MIL put us onto it), and have used for all our cloth nappies (Green Kids pocket nappies) and all our other normal washing for the past few years, is Euca Laundry Powder concentrate. We buy the 25 Kg bucket (big white bucket which we used as a nappy bucket when we had finished the first bucket) which lasts our family of 6 about a year! I love never having to buy washing powder when I go shopping! We got our last bucket at Mitre 10 I think, but there is a whole list of their suppliers on the website. Here is a snippet about the washing powder from their website: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Euca Laundry Powder concentrate....Euca is the grease and oil expert. A truly commercial grade, premium quality powder that has no fillers, synthetics or insolubles that can get trapped in your machine causing corrosion, or in your clothes, often triggering allergies and eczema. This means you GET and PAY for 100% active ingredients. Thus a lower cost per wash. Can be used in top or front-loading machines in hot or cold water. * Made from pure Eucalyptus oil * Low sudsing - ideal for front or top loaders * No fillers or insolubles - 100% soluble in hot or cold water * Low allergenic - better for you * Enviromentally friendly - 100% biodegradable * Grey water safe so it can be run off on the garden without harming plants or soil ---------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the link: http://www.lightningcleans.com.au/ca...71/2717775.htm When trying to buy it, watch the prices though... it varies *hugely* between stores. I rang around first to get the best price. I got a 25 kilo bucket for about $100 which works out to be about $4 a kilo, and I only ever use 1/2 a scoop (it is a teeny, tiny scoop).

We recently bought some really good organic eco washing products from an *b*y store one is called grasstreecreek and the other is eeko*earth. I have been happy so far. But you may know for yourself which is cheaper. They are located in QLD so it should be cheap enough to send to you. I don't know if they sell outside of e*ay though. I found it good that I don't actually have to go anywhere looking for it. It is just delivered to the door.

Have you thought about making your own? If you could find somewhere to buy soap flakes in bulk, it would probably work out pretty cheap.

I just wanted to correct a few people on this forum and advise you on the difference between commercial washing powder and domestic washing powder. ![]() Commercial washing powder is what large laundries and dry cleaners use which is completely and uterly different from domestic washing powder which is what individual households use in domestic washing machines and is bought in a supermarket. I know, it's a very simple thing. I just thought i would let you know as I was very confused when I read commercial washing powder can be bought from Woolworths and Coles.
