Exclamation The single biggest issue of this Generation

Water... We drink it, bathe in it, water our gardens with it and without it - everything dies.

'News Limited' have created an online forum to talk about the conservation/preservation of our most important asset.

Please read the forum guidelines with regard to posting links to other forums.

Because this is a local forum, perhaps specifically for South Australian members? and the purpose is in line with NP philosophies, I have approved this post. I have moved it to the SA forum. Feel free to discuss.

Adelaide Now (The online South Australian branch of 'News Limited') obviously is South Australian - but the water crisis is national so I'm not sure I understand why you're not keen for the entire forum to discuss this. Especially when NSW, Qld and Victoria are suffering (water wise) worse then South Australia is atm.

Nevertheless, I bow to your decision :-)

Thank you for allowing the post. Feel free to join in the discussion and make any contribution you think appropriate to an issue that I hope will unite Australian's (regardless of geographic boundaries)

We welcome your discussion Felicity. It's really only because you are directing our members to take this discussion to a separate forum that we feel is not helpful to this forum. We would prefer the discussion stayed here.

I permitted your link to an alternative forum because I wondered if participation on the NewsLtd forum might have some political leverage that a discussion here would not have.

We support your interest in water conservation - we are just determining a way to make it fit within our own forum guidelines.

Hope this helps to explain things a bit better.

I'm happy to move this to the Green Room if the SA sub-forum isn't the best location.

Moved to the Green Room.

It would be great to have a discussion on these forums in regards to this very important topic. Please let us know your thoughts ~ are you following water restrictions? Are they effective? How do you use water wisely?

I'm flabbergasted...

According to your own rules ( http://forums.naturalparenting.com.au/faq.php ) I haven't broken a single rule - yet this thread (that complies with the rules as stated above) has now been moved twice... Not to mention Staff warning me about rules I've never broken!!!

As I wrote (via PM to one of the Staff) I'm flabbergasted that the Staff here think they can change anything by restricting posts to this forum only.

Surely News Limited - with their vast readership - can have FAR more impact then this forum of less then 10k members can!!!???

When I'm not breaking the printed rules in any way, and I'm being harassed/posts moved on my first two days - I really don't think this forum is for me...

May I suggest Admin changes the printed rules so that this doesn't happen to others and they don't feel similarly needlessly persecuted?

Best of luck to all of you,
FSA

There is a spam filter on this site that blocks posts from new members which contain links, or have otherwise novel presentation compared to our usual membership. These posts are then processed by admin. Your initial warning pertained to this part of the guidelines:

Quote:
We do not allow links to other forums unless for specific and relevant information to a thread. Members must not post about forums, websites or businesses they are affiliated with or otherwise receive benefit for advertising.
Posting URL's to sites where the purpose is that of sharing information is welcome. Posting URL's for the purpose of advertising is not. Moderators and Administrators have a right to decide what is considered advertising.
I hope you understand that mods and admin trawl through spam on a daily, and sometimes hourly, basis. Your post, containing the News Limited link titled Forum SA was processed as per the convention and we exchanged PMs containing this information.

I apologise if you feel we are harrassing you. We feel we have been fair - though admittedly a little indecisive as we are a new admin team. This is a process we must follow, for the greater good of the forum and I assure you we singled you out as a genuine member. We have attempted to make amends and we still welcome your discussion. I don't know what else to do except make a fresh start, offer a and hope you stick around to get to know everyone here.
