Not Aware. I've switched back to boring old Omo as our clothes were getting worse and worse with Aware. Sorry I can't suggest anything else but I figured a negative experience is a recommendation too We switched to Aware ands everything went yucky, now we've switched back and our things are getting clean again.

BTW... using liquid instead of powder greatly reduces the amount of salt you put into the environment - about 1/5 of the quantity I think, from memory.

I have used Aware for the past umm.....probably 3 or 4 years? And it has always been fantastic! Shame to hear it didnt work well for you Deborah? I guess we all have different machines too....

I know there are other enviro friendly powders out there - but I love the fact that Aware is supported by Planet Ark and is so open on the packet about WHY they are better for the environment.....

I also have a hubby with sensitive skin and he has never had a problem with the Aware or Planet Ark stuff............

hope this helps?

Love spiral and sprout

I dont like Aware either for the same reason as Deborah. I have a front loader so dont know if that makes a difference.

Thanks for that, bad feed back is good too! I was thinking about the planet ark one, so will probably give that one a go.

I have a front loader too. There are simple scientific explanations for why top loader powders don't work very well in front loaders, and there is the anecdotal Nimey and Deborah evidence too

I've got Planet Ark atm, but have made my own, used another enviro friendly one (Green Something or other I think?) and also used the trinature powder and liquid over the past few years. One of the liquids made dark marks on clothes every now and then which were very hard to shift - can't remember which one. We have a top loader (yes, I know I know, next machine will be front loader) and only use cold water. Have great results with the Planet Ark one, and if you ever want a great stain remover I recommend the Trinature one! (Got red wine out of dh's light coloured sweater recently)

I've just switched to Aware, and haven't had any problems with the clothes getting clean, but we don't have any heavy stains or anything. Using it on the nappies and all without a problem. My only concern is that it isn't fragrance free, and I thought it was. I'm going to try the planet ark one when this runs out.

I changed to M.Power liquid been great for Ed's sensitive skin, my mum uses it in her front loader. (now her's cost >$2000) so she was particular on what she put in there. I get 6 months use out of 2.8L bottle.
I tried all the products on the shelves & it seemed to make Ed's skin itchy & dh hated the smell (perfumed or not). Now i can't walk down the chemical aisle at the supermarket, since changing.. weird.
