Question Miss 2 with attitude!!!

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how I can help Miss 2 with her attitude??? She has started being extremely mean to her little brother by biting him pulling his hair and flat out refusing to share. She has also started screaming at him when ever he touches something of hers!! It is all a recent thing and I know that they do this at this age but she is being extremely selfish. I have tried being nice and explaining to her that she needs to share however all she says to me is MINE!!! I am so sick of hearing them words!!!

We're there too. It's totally normal so here's something to try: Read your post back with all the negative words as 'communicate' ie, How can I help Miss 2 with her communication? She is being extremely communicative, etc. See what kind of spin it puts on the situation for you. I do this myself when I'm stuck and it's amazing how soon I can hear them words differently. Hope this helps.

There is a lovely post from mammazoe about whingeing that is along similar lines - both my partner and I think of it often when we are feeling a bit down about whingeing/whining/generally undesirable behaviour from our 2 DDs. Will find it and post a link here if I work out how to do it!

xx

At this age we introduced the naughty spot which was quite effective. But at the same tiime they need to learn to communicate better, get in touch with their emotions and learn their place within the family.

She is just testing her boundaries, and growing up too so is just seeing where she fits and how much she can push.

And a double dose of this for mums and dads too.
