Cool Intense dreams and NLP

I have been having really really intense dreams the past few nights, far more vivid that ever before and the first two nights were very disturbing. Last night was a "nice" dream but intense and vivid all the same. I have never experienced dreams like this before and the one the night before last had me feeling quite distressed all day. So I went to bed last night and asked my unconscious if it would give me some less upsetting dreams and it said yes. I asked a few other questions which were helpful and that reminded me that about a week ago I had been struggling to sleep because of a big day planned the next next day(stressed about remembering everything) and i had asked my unconscious to work it out in my sleep. I have a feeling that this is what has caused these dreams.
While the content of the dreams were mostly very disturbing for me, the actual messages/interpretations are not particularly enlightening - I know what they are about and those issues really are non issues for me.
I can't remember the wording of the original question that I asked my unconscious but next time I will be more careful...

Wow M! Hope you thanked your unconscious for that one! Be careful what you wish for hey?

You could bump the old workshop thread as I think Keith is subscribed to that one - if you want his expertise on the matter.

Nice to learn you still practice. Can't say I have been myself...

Hello Gg,

The fact that we can disturb ourselves with our own dreams is for me always fascinating. Really, what's the point? What does our unconscious mind get out of creating something scary or disturbing?

Personally I would ask for my unconscious to generate more pleasant dreams (instead of less upsetting dreams) to communicate the same message... if a message is being communicated.

Another possibility which can be fun is going 2nd, via 3rd, with any significant others in the dream. There might be information there that you missed in 1st position.

Gg, your unconscious is a she, not an it. She is a larger part of your mind.

All the best,

Keith
