Default going out at night

ok my son is turning 14 soon, and i am just wondering, how did ur kids first start to go out at night? Did they just go out at night for the first time and then u rang them to see where they were, and they said they'll get a bus home, and is that how they first started going out at night?
What about u(urself as a parent),how did u start to go out at night when u were a teen?

Welocme to NP

I dont have teenage children yet, so cant really offer any advice there. But as for me. I wasnt allowed out at night untill I was 18. I had to be home before dark (unless i had arranged a lift home from a friends place with the friends parent)

Hmm... I was nightclubbing at 15. I thought my mum was really cool at the time, but in retrospect, it wasn't very clever. Really not sure how we will deal with that yet... Sorry!
Oh, and

Before dark, Mel??? You wouldn't even get to go out in Qld!

Sorry Kelly... I am not there yet either!

I went out to school socials, movies (parents picked me up from memory) and some parties from about age 13-14???

Welcome to the forums.
I was allowed to go out at night from about 13 or 14. I used to go to a Christian teen group on Fridays nights and was allowed to go to the cinema occasionally. I was always dropped off and picked up. I wasn't allowed to go to a different venue. I wasn't allowed to go with certain people (eg. to a movie).
It wasn't until i was 17 and had left home for uni that i started going anywhere at night without being dropped off and picked up by my mum.

Same for me Jamie. School parties were supposedly supervised but not really, parents dropped off and picked up. But I grew up in the country.

Welcome to NP Kelly. Are you concerned about something in particular?

I was going out at night from about 15 to parties, they were never really supervised, their was lots of drinking and smoking. I never got picked up as i always stayed at friends houses, we usually walked.
