Question introducing milk @ 12 months....

Hi everyone. My boy is almost one ans has his share of breast and bottle (formula)... He loves his bottle before his sleeps and now thats he's almost one I'm hearing he doesnt need formula anymore but can go to cows milk... what did other people do? I have gradually started intorducing it but it just seems like so much "milk"! we've thought about goats milk, but for how long do you do the bottle thing? What are our alternatives? What did you do? thanks!!

I remember when my child was that age and honestly you should still give him some formula rather than just cows or goat milk, he needs allot nutrition at least that is why my pediatrician said, I would say still give him bottle at night but maybe you can build a schedule of when you give him bottle and regular milk that way his body gets use to it and he gets his nutrition which is very important for a growing baby, i gave my son formula until he was 24 months, off course i was rotating with regular milk and formula. hope this helps.

Sorry not much help bf until 3 but he did enjoy a goats milk hear and there I heard it is closer to human milk than cows milk. I give my son rice, goat or soy watered down but he is a lot older now so the milk isn't that important, but if your still breastfeeding its not really a nutritional requirement is it? just more because he enjoys it. My son has a linden and chammomile tea before bed with a pinch of honey in it.
