Another piece of lingo....

Dri-Liners: Simple Polyester Triangle fabric that adds no bulk but wicks moisture away from baby's skin. Ideal with any nappy you are using.

Wool Soakers - handknitted or machine knitted woolen covers

Longies - handknitted or machine knitted woolen covers that cover the entire legs

Both Wool Soakers and Longies can be used over fitted nappies or terry flats. They're used at night due to the breathability of wool and the ability of wool to neutralize the smell of urine (for a week or two anyway until they are washed again). So they don't usually need to be washed daily. When they are washed they are supposed to be lanolized also. Which is as simple as putting a small amount of lansinoh in some warm water and then putting the soaker in the water for at least half an hour. Having said that - I don't usually lanolize .

Extenders - another word for boosters

Acrylic - Nappy covers can also be made from acrylic.
