    Default Mummy group ideas

    Hey everyone,

Do you remember I posted ages ago about my mothers group and issues with not vaxing? Well we have all moved on and everything is going really nicely. I am having everyone over next week and thought we might dye some singlet and suits for summer! Its got me thinking I wonder what other people do at there mothers group. I would love some ideas. The babies are only 7mth. Look forward to your ideas.

    xoxo

    That's great Rach.

We sat around while the kids stuffed their faces with donuts, chips, chocolate and I told my girls they'd had enough about a hundred times. That part I hated, but the support of the other Mum's I loved. I wish I'd known about the NP group that met right next to us at the time! Sorry I'm not much help.

Your tie dyeing idea sounds lovely. I'm sure you'll have loads of fun

So glad things have settled down now Rach.

I have never been in a mother's group, but I always assumed they were all a bit like Louise described. Your idea to do different things sounds wonderful. Perhaps as the babes get a bit older you might like to explore the idea of a Toddler art group.

Good luck with the dyeing, I would love to see pics of the results.

We all now have 2 kids each, toddlers and babies so theres no time for crafty activities for the mums!
We meet at differents places, parks, local zoo and mums houses
One of the mums lives on a farm so that is a great one next week she has new chicks to show us all, kids will love it.
There is too much rubbish food at ours too.... i don't quite understand it, why bring tim tams and flavoured crisps to a morning tea where loads of kids are eating?? I often meantion tring to keep it healthy and use the 'for the mums weight sake' angle so i don't get the fussy mum eye roll!!

One of our mums suggested doing a time capsule in her garden for when they all turn 3, we'll all bring a painting to put in.
I wish i'd thought of a np group back when ds was born, but at that stage i didn't know anything about it or that i wasn't mainstream LoL!!
I wonder about joining one now, but to be honest I'm not sure If i make the grade!!

I don't think there is a standardized test for NP/AP Lynne.

Yes Jen, I can't wait until the bubs are old enough to get into art and different activities. We have had them in little pools and on the grass at the beach. I wasn't too sure about the mothers group either after you know who said you know what But because it is such a large group (9 mummies 9 babies 2 toddlers) it was easy to find a few girls to connect with. I like all the other mums and have alot of fun with them too but it does get hard to bite my tougue when they start telling me I need to put gravox in her veg so she enjoys it more. What the? I have a feeling the three of us that are a bit more NP may branch out on our own eventually. No hurry though. The others all have nice aspects to there parenting too.

A farm!! Thats really cool Lynne. Thats a shame about the food. I feel rubbish if I eat that sort of stuff all morning. Our group started with the nasty food (I think because it was easy) but now we all make a bit of an effort and it is usually really good.

I shall let you all know how we go with our tie dye! I don't actually know how to do photo's on here. Maybe DP will help me.

Thanks for the msg's and have a beautiful weekend.
    xoxo

    Rach,
There is a definitive photo guide sticked in the tech support forum. I've no idea how to link it here, but you should be able to find it easy enough. Would love to see your handy work!

The food isn't always too bad, certain girls are worse than others, one brought fairy bread to my house once, no party or anything just normal morning tea!! not only is it rubbish but i had sprinkles all over the place, in my rented house with cream carpets! considerate??

Oh no!!! She clearly wasn't thinking that day. Your poor carpet. Did you get the colour out? Those little buggas can really stain stuff.

I will definitely look that up and put some photo's of what we do. I'm hoping everyone has a go. Most of the girls sew beautiful toys for there babies so even if they dye some fabric for there toys that would be nice. Don't think all the mummies would let there bubs go out in tye dye clothing. Thats ok. Each to there own. I love it!! I think I will do some fabric to make a long soft skirt for summer and some suits for Grace
