Searching for a doula

My partner and I really want to have a freebirth. Me, him, and a we would like a doula.

We are well aware of what a doula is and that she can't provide medical advice or treatment. We don't want medical advice or treatment, we believe if I need those things that's what we have ambulance coverage for.

What we want is a woman who has been at births before who can share her experience with us and support us during the birth of our first child.
All we are seeking is emotional support. I need a cheer squad to remind me I am capable of giving birth when I'm too tired and in labour to remember it myself.

This baby is due in Feb, around the 22nd we are guessing. And we live in a southern Melbourne suburb.

I like the term doulaquest Adia! I thought perhaps Janet might be very helpful in finding a doula, given she is a fountain of birthing knowledge .
