Ergo insert
I have used my ergo with ds since he was about 5 months old up until now (still use it), and was wondering who (that have been happy with front/back wearing their ergo's)has had experience with the ergo inserts. Is it worth while getting? I have seen a couple of pictures and it doesn't look particularly comfortable for the little un's?
Any opinions?

Re: Ergo insert
Had one - didn't use it.
You could always use a folded bunny rug or wrap instead.

Re: Ergo insert
I thought the insert was only for the purpose of keeping a very little one (under 3 months?) secure.
Until they are big/old enough to sit in the froggie position, the insert enables them to lay across the front of you, with both feet/legs sticking out one side.
I had one for my boy but wasnt used to working with the ergo when he was young enough to need the insert. I found a mei tai easier to get him into quickly and easier to feed while he was in it (walking round the shopping centre, very discreet)
Not sure if I'd bother with the insert if I had another.
Hang on a sec! I recall selling my insert to a mum from this forum but cant remember who! there was competition for it at the time of sale and i requested the buyer to please pass it on to another NP mumma when she was done with it. Might have to do a search I reckon.

Re: Ergo insert
Ah sorry Kermi, brain failing me today lol! Yeah it was over a year ago now huh? Gee time flies.
I bumped the original thread to try and track it, dunno if that was useful or not?

Re: Ergo insert
I second the idea of using a bunny rug!
I think maybe the insert is more of a 'fashion accessory' for those who like everything to match. *shrug*

Re: Ergo insert
Yep - if you're looking to use an insert for your 5 month old - you'll find no use for it
I too, prefer wraps to the look of the insert in the ergo. I was once keen, but as soon as I found the perfect wrap for me, decided against it.

Re: Ergo insert
I don't know too many ppl (or newborns) who like the insert. Most newborns like the upright position but the insert puts them in cradle position.

I always thought my babies were out of the ordinary. They hated being in the cradle position, as much as I thought they would like it I would see other babies in slings in the cradle possie and decided my babes, who prefered being upright, were just one-in-a-million.
Now, you're telling me they're not one-in-a-million????

Re: Ergo insert
Definitely not. Actually mine are the rare kinds, 'cause they actually *hate* T2T as newborns. :
