Default ventured out with bub in the sling-

was awesome. we got alot of looks and comments. my daughter was snuggled tummy to tummy (as suggested by you guys , thanks). i got confident with a doll first, then slid her in while upset and we went for a walk first yesterday with her in it. she fell asleep INSTANTLY im talking didnt move until we got home and she felt me stop walking and loosen the top rail !! after a bit of fiddling around with the ring, i think ive got the hang of her in that position. gee it was comfy we walked all around the shops starting Christmas shopping seems like dd loved it just as much!! wish i could get my 3 yr old to just hang out in a sling too. hes like 20kg lol. anyway just wanted to share that your encouragement and help and links you shared were great ! xx.

I love my Ergo, I just sold my expensive new pram for how much I paid for it (YAY!), decided it wasn't worth it and I just want to carry my DD from now on. Everyday we go walking with her in it, I use a ring sling sometimes aswell.

I love reading stories like that. Thanks for sharing Jules. So glad you are enjoying the wonderful world of baby wearing!

I remember the same feelings of joy and satisfaction when I first started wearing my eldest son. I also remember feelings of freedom without feeling compromised in my parenting. I think this is one of the greatest gifts of wearing babies. Being able to do what you need to do for yourself and your other children as well as meeting your baby's needs for closeness at the same time! Ah, the wonders of ancient wisdom....

I just love slinging too My boy is 5 months old and I haven't used a pram yet. Why drag a heavy, cumbersome pram out of the boot when I can just put him in my soft carrier or mei tai! He absolutely loves it too and rests his head on my breast and goes to sleep.

Welcome to the world of babywearing, it's addictive buying different types of slings.. I have 3 and I want an ergo now (DS is a big boy for 5 months).
